The event was an interesting and informative day, with opportunities to take part in workshops, share ideas and to learn more about all the social enterprise which is taking place in Birmingham.

The move towards social entrepreneurship and income generation, and away from over-dependence on different funding streams, is an important consideration in a voluntary organisations forward strategy.

The event had representatives from successful Social Enterprises, including Aston Reinvestment Trust and Birmingham, Solihull Social Enterprise Consortium who spoke and led workshops on aspects of Social Enterprise.

The day also included a very successful and well received study tour which went to the Jericho project to see its successes.
